Varuna records 11.50% voting in first 2 hours

Mysore/Mysuru: In the first two hours of voting till 9 am, Mysuru district recorded a polling percentage of 7.84 while Udupi recorded the highest of 13.28 percent. Overall, Karnataka reported a voting percentage of 8.26 percent during this time.

In 11 Assembly Constituencies of Mysuru district, Varuna topped the list with 11.50 percent while all the other Constituencies reported slow and moderate polling in the initial hours. Chamaraja reported 8.82 percent, Chamundeshwari 9 percent, H.D. Kote 6.53 percent, Hunsur 5.50 percent, Krishnaraja 6.32 percent, K.R. Nagar 8.40 percent, Nanjangud 8 percent, Narasimharaja 6 percent, Periyapatna 8.13 percent and T. Narasipur 8.19 percent.

Kodagu reported a voting percentage of 11.94 percent till 9 am and under the district, Madikeri Constituency reported 10.99 percent while Virajpet reported 12.93 percent during the same time.
