Vedike seeks scrapping of Kannada Sahitya Parishat

Mysuru: Members of Mysuru Kannada Vedike has urged the State Government to investigate the alleged misuse of funds in building the ‘Kannada Theru’ for the Sammelana.

The members alleged that Rs. 5 lakh had been misused for the chariot. They demanded a thorough investigation and urged to book criminal cases against those guilty. Seeking to scrap Kannada Sahitya Parishat, Vedike members also asked to form of a Committee headed by a retired Judge to probe the irregularities at the Parishat.

Prof. P.V. Nanjaraja Urs said that not only ‘Kannada Theru’ was fake but also the whole Sammelana was fake.
