Mysuru: Activists of Hindu Jagaran Vedike staged a protest at Gandhi Square in the city recently demanding the State and Central Governments to take strict action against those organisations backing a terror outfit like ISIS (Islamic State in Iraq and Syria).
Vedike Convener Vasanthkumar, who led the protest by holding placards and raising slogans, told media persons that the clandestine activities like indoctrinating the mind of youths belonging to minority communities and sending them to Syria, have been confirmed during the investigation of Central agencies. Such covert activities have widespread networks in Mysuru also. The Government must initiate strict action against those organisations indulging in religious conversions, by luring young men and women belonging to Hindu religion, through monetary benefits. As it is a grave offence to support such anti-national activities, National Investigation Agency should probe into these activities and initiate action against hidden forces, he demanded.
