Vendor commits suicide

An incident of a betel leaves vendor committing suicide has come to light this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Gavisiddaiah (40), a resident of Nagawara in Channapatna taluk. Police said that the deceased committed suicide by hanging self to a jackfruit tree at K. Hemmannahalli in Jayapura Hobli, Mysuru taluk, yesterday night.

Jayapura Police, who arrived at the spot, shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary for post mortem after registering a case. Investigation is on.
