Veteran Kannada Film Director M.S. Rajashekar passes away

Bengaluru: Veteran Sandalwood Director M.S. Rajashekar passed away yesterday due to multi-organ failure. He was 75.

Sources said that Rajashekar was admitted to a private hospital in Bengaluru following widespread infection and multi-organ failure.

Rajashekar was the son of well-known makeup artist Subanna and became famous in sandalwood for making films based on novels.

He made his directorial debut with ‘Dhruvathare’ starring matinee idol late Dr. Rajkumar in 1985. He has predominantly worked with Dr. Rajkumar’s son Shivarajkumar, and had directed blockbusters such as Ratha Sapthami, Manamechchida Hudugi, Ade Raga Ade Haadu and Mutthanna among others.
