Veteran writer G.S. Bhatta’s three works released

July 14, 2022

Mysore/Mysuru: Veteran writer and Karnataka Yakshagana Academy Member G.S. Bhatta’s three works — ‘Lokmanya Balgangadhar Tilak’,  ‘Aadhunika Bharatada Nirmapaka Rajaram Mohan Roy’ and ‘Lala Lajpat Rai’ — were released at a programme jointly organised by Vijaya Vittala Educational Institutions, Kannada Sahitya Kalakoota, Renuka Prakashana and Samprati Enterprises at Vijaya Vittala College premises in Saraswathipuram here on Monday.

Speaking after releasing the books, litterateur Dr. D.K. Rajendra said that youths should read books on great personalities and leaders who dedicated and sacrificed their lives for the country and draw inspiration from them.

Pointing out that biographies and autobiographies are written in order to reach out to the readers on the life and achievements of tall leaders, he observed that it is certain that the readers get inspired after going through them.

Observing that commitment, dedication and preparations are key for achieving success, he said that lack of these takes one to nowhere.

Noting that G.S. Bhatta has aimed to reach the three towering  personalities —Tilak, Rajaram Mohan Roy and Lala Lajpat Rai —  to the readers through the books,  Rajendra said that it is important to read biographies in order to know how a common man  who became great leaders and statesmen later, climbed up the ladder of success by achieving something extraordinary in life.

Vijaya Vittala PU College Principal H. Satyaprasad presided.

Writer Dr. Kabbinale Vasantha Bharadwaj, Sharana Sahitya Parishat Mysuru District Unit President Dr. Helavarahundi Siddappa, Kannada Sahitya Kalakoota President M. Chandrashekar, author G.S. Bhatta, Co-operator Jagadish Hebbar, District Kannada Sahitya Parishat President Maddikere Gopal and others were present.
