Village Account killed as bike hits bridge

Virajpet: A Village Accountant (VA) was killed when the bike on which he was riding hit the bridge near Bittangala village on Virajpet-Gonikoppa Road on Sunday night.

The deceased is Gowdaja Praveen (24), the VA of Ammathi hobli. A native of Kadabageri village in Harapanahalli taluk of Vijayanagar district, Praveen was working as the VA of Ammathi hobli since four years and was residing at Virajpet. 

On Sunday, Praveen, who had gone to see a friend at Ponnampet, was returning to Virajpet in the night on his bike, when he rammed into the bridge, sustaining serious head injuries and severe bleeding leading to his death. 

Virajpet Rural Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
