Vishal & Hansika pair bag silver in mixed doubles

All India Sub-Junior (U-15 & 17) Ranking Badminton Tournament-2026

Boppanda Vishal Uthappa and Hansika Rakesh brought laurels to Karnataka by winning a silver medal in the U-15 mixed doubles at the All India Sub-Junior (U-15 & 17) Ranking Badminton Tournament-2026 held at Pullela Gopichand Academy in Hyderabad recently. 

The tournament was organised by Badminton Association of India (BAI) in association with Telangana Badminton Association. Both Vishal and Hansika train at the Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy in Hyderabad.

A native of Kodagu, Vishal Uthappa is the son of Boppanda P. Bheemaiah and K.K. Kusuma couple. Meanwhile,  Hansika, a native of Mysuru, is  the daughter of Rakesh Siddharamu and Pavithra.
