Vishwanath likely to join JD(S) on June 7

May 23, 2017

Bengaluru: Former MP and senior Congress leader A.H. Vishwanath, who is upset over being sidelined by the party and Chief Minister Siddharamaiah choosing to ignore him, is likely to join the JD(S) at a massive rally in Mysuru on June 7.

Vishwanath, who had recently held several round of talks with JD(S) Supremo H.D. Deve Gowda and State Party President H.D. Kumaraswamy, is said to be joining the JD(S) without any conditions.

However, Vishwanath is unlikely to contest the 2018 Assembly polls and will only be a star campaigner of the JD(S) touring across the State.

While Deve Gowda is for inducting Vishwanath into the party at the party Headquarters in Bengaluru, State JD(S) President H.D. Kumaraswamy is for according a grand welcome to Vishwanath at a massive rally of party workers to be organised in Mysuru on June 7, it is learnt.
