Voters will support BJP for Modi’s rule: Meenakshi Lekhi

April 29, 2023

Mysore/Mysuru: Union Minister of State for External Affairs Minister Meenakshi Lekhi has said that the exit of leaders from BJP won’t dent the prospects of the party in upcoming elections on May 10.

Addressing media persons at BJP Media Centre at Chamarajapuram here yesterday, Lekhi said, “By fielding 72 new faces in the election, it won’t affect the results either, as people will choose the candidates, considering the better administration of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Besides, the party workers have been sweating hard at booth level for the victory of candidates.”

With India completing 100 years of Independence in next 25 years, Modi has big plans to create Amrith Kaal in the country including Karnataka,  said Lekhi.

There is also nothing wrong in seeking votes in Modi’s name, as “It is Modi’s charisma, hard work and leadership which has brought benefits to Karnataka,” she said.

Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and her son-in-law Robert Vadra, son Rahul Gandhi, KPCC President D.K. Shivakumar and several other leaders are all on bail in one or the other case. They don’t have any moral rights to level false allegations of 40% commission against BJP Government in the State, without producing any documents in support of their allegations, added Lekhi.

Sudan war

On the people from the State, especially from Hunsur in Mysuru, stuck in civil war hit Sudan, Lekhi said: “Under ‘Operation Kaveri’ we have already brought home several Indians in two phases from Sudan, while some more people will be brought back in third phase.”
