Mysore/Mysuru: The National Institute of Fingineering (NIE), Mysuru, in association with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, will be organising the VTU Inter-Collegiate Mysuru Division Badminton, TT Men & Women Championships 2023-24 on July 12 and 13 at NIE Diamond Jubilee Indoor Sports Complex on Manandavadi Road here.

The Engineering College Badminton and TT teams of Mysuru, Kodagu, Chamarajanagar, Mandya and Ramanagara districts are expected to participate.

Last edition Champions in men section Badminton PESCE, Mandya and Runners-Up VVCE, Mysuru, loser Semi-finalists NIE-IT, Mysuru and NIE, Mysuru, teams are seeded 1, 2, 3 and 4 respectively, in women section PESCE, Mandya, VVCE, Mysuru, GEC, Kushalnagar and NIE, Mysuru, teams are seeded 1, 2, 3 and 4 respectively.

The teams getting seedings in TT men are NIE Mysuru, VVCE Mysuru, PESCE, Mandya and ATME, Mysuru. In women section PESCE, Mandya, ATME, Mysuru, NIE-IT, Mysuru and GSSSIETW, Mysuru, are eligible to be seeded 1, 2, 3 & 4 respectively.

The Championships will be inaugurated by Akshay Mahanta (Karnataka TT Player and Certified Coach at Olympic Table Tennis Academy) on July 12 at 9.30 am in NIE Sports Complex. Dr. K.C. Manjunath, Principal (in-Charge), NIE, will preside. Dr. M.P. Murulidhar, Officiating Mysuru Zone Regional Director, Physical Education (PE), VTU, will be present.
