‘We walk the talk’: Ministers claim on guarantee schemes

July 20, 2025

Mysore/Mysuru: Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Water Resources D.K. Shivakumar claimed that the Congress Government has kept its electoral promises by implementing all five guarantee schemes.

“You blessed us with your support. Today, we are here to repay that trust through development,” he said at the Sadhana Samavesha. “We don’t indulge in emotional politics; we focus on politics that improve people’s lives,” he stated.

“Today, foundation stones have been laid in Mysuru for development works worth Rs. 2,578 crore,” Shivakumar confirmed.

Social Welfare Minister and Mysuru District In-charge H.C. Mahadevappa described the event as a celebration of development. He said the guarantee schemes have significantly improved lives and recalled that 100 years ago, Mahatma Gandhi held a Congress session in Belagavi — a tradition that continues today with renewed commitment to people’s welfare.

Mahadevappa highlighted Mysuru’s growth under the current regime, citing the construction of a new district hospital that proved vital during the COVID pandemic, road infrastructure upgrades and the ongoing construction of a modern KSRTC bus terminal at Bannimantap.

“After D. Devaraj Urs, the highest level of development has been under Siddaramaiah’s leadership,” he stated. “Our guarantees are being delivered without discrimination. We walk the talk. Let’s lead Karnataka towards inclusive growth.”

Animal Husbandry and Sericulture Minister K. Venkatesh said the Govt. is committed to development. “The previous regime failed to execute meaningful progress and now resorts to baseless accusations. We, however, focus on resolving public concerns and delivering people-centric governance,” he said.
