Weekend concerts at Nadabrahma

Mysuru:  Sangita Kalanidhi Trichy Sankaran will be in city for B.M. Subbanna Endowment programme on Feb.10 at 6 pm at Nadabrahma Sangeeta Sabha on JLB Road. Mridangam maestro Trichy Sankaran based at Canada will enthrall the music lovers with his soft and laya personified playing.

Sankaran Mama, as he is fondly referred, is generally in India from December to February every year. Nadabrahma has invited Sankaran to accompany for the vocal concert of Hemmige Prashanth for the above Endowment programme. Apart from Sankaran on Mridanga, T.K.V.R.Charlu will accompany on Violin and Guruprasanna will support on Khanjira.

Hemmige S. Prashanth is seasoned vocalist of repute. A techie, Prashanth has got his music from Legendary Palghat K.V. Narayana Swamy and presently under Vid. Padmanarayanaswamy. With commitment to music, he catches the audience immediately. He has been performing at all important sabhas and festivals in and around the world. Endowment programme is sponsored by Bellur Foundation.

On Feb.11 (Sunday) at 5.30 pm, T.V. Alamelu birthday rememberance vocal concert will be presented by N. Srinath accompanied by Veena Suresh on Violin, Phanindra Bhaskar on Mridanga and Vikram Bharadwaj on Ghata.

Srinath from Mysuru is a seasoned Vocalist with a good voice and rendition. He started his musical classes under Vid. K.G. Kanakalakshmi and further had his learning under                                                       doyens like Dr. S. Ramanathan, R.K. Narayamaswamy and presently under Rudrapatnam Brothers.

A B High grade artiste of AIR, he had his formal Music degree from Madras University. He has been performing regularly in the country and USA. Presently, he is working as a music teacher at Pramathi Hill View Academy, Mysuru. The Programme sponsored by Dr. Meera Nathan.
