Weekly heart camp at Chamarajanagar

June 7, 2026

Bengaluru’s Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research Director Dr. B. Dinesh said that it has been planned to conduct heart check-up camp once in a week at Chamarajanagar, with co-operation from Chamarajanagar Institute of Medical Sciences and the  District Administration.

Speaking to presspersons in Mysuru, he said it has been proposed to hold heart camps either on Monday or Wednesday every week at Chamarajanagar. Patients who need advanced treatment will be sent to Mysuru Hospital, he pointed out.

Highlighting the need for people to be more alert of heart ailments with the onset of monsoon, Dr. Dinesh said precautionary measures should be taken for maintaining a healthy heart.

While foundation stone for the construction of additional block of 200 beds in Mysuru Jayadeva Hospital will be laid in a month, the 437-bed Cardiology Hospital at Hubballi will be opened for public service in September.
