Had buried body near a lake on village outskirts

Mandya: A woman, along with her paramour allegedly murdered her husband and had buried the body near the lake on the outskirts of Arakere village in Srirangapatna taluk, Police said.

While the deceased has been identified as Satish (40), the accused are Kavya, wife of Satish and her paramour Manju.

Detail: According to the Police,  Kavya was in an alleged illicit relationship with Manju since many days and her husband had questioned Kavya about it which had led to a quarrel between them.

As Satish had objected to the   relationship, Kavya and Manju allegedly murdered Satish with the help of Manju’s friends and later buried the body near the lake on the outskirts of the village, Police said.

On May 23, Kavya lodged a Police complaint stating that Satish was missing. The Police, who took up the investigation, questioned Kavya on suspicion during which she confessed to the crime, the Police added.

The Police, who have exhumed the body for examination, have arrested Kavya and Manju and have launched a hunt to nab the others. A case has been registered at Arakere Police Station in this regard.
