Will convince Modi to come to Mysuru for 2019 Yoga Day: MP Pratap Simha

June 21, 2018

Mysuru:  When the ground work for today’s International Yoga Day celebrations began, every Mysurean expected Prime Minister Narendra Modi to be a part of the celebrations in this Heritage City.

While short-listing the names for the venues of the main yoga event, the Union Government had chosen Mysuru and it was later shifted to Dehradun where Modi took part. Reacting on this development, Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha assured that next year, he will convince Modi to come to Mysuru for the Yoga Day.

“Following Modi’s suggestion, the United Nations listed June 21 as the International Day of Yoga and that was accepted unanimously by all countries. Such is Modi’s power and popularity. Next year, I will somehow convince him to come to Mysuru and join all of us to perform Yoga,” he said.
