Mandya – Asserting that he would not leave the Congress, former Minister and MLA Ambarish has said that he could not campaign for the Party candidates in the Nanjangud and Gundlupet by-polls for health reasons.

Speaking to press persons here yesterday, Ambarish, while admitting that several BJP leaders had met him with an invitation to join the Party, clarified that he would not leave the Congress for any reason.

Replying to a question on his absence at Mandya, Ambarish maintained that he could not visit Mandya frequently as his health did not permit him. Stating that the Congress had given him everything, Ambarish reiterated that there was no question of him leaving the Congress.
