Mysore/Mysuru: ‘Samruddhi 2020,’ the Commerce and Management Fest, was conducted by TTL College of Business Management, Mysuru, at the College premises recently.

Prof. R. Shivappa, Registrar, University of Mysore, Mysuru, inaugurated the Fest. TTL Trust Executive Secretary Prof. H.N. Ashwathanarayan presided. Trustee Dr. Geetha Ramadas, Secretary & Trustee Mallesh Babu and Administrator and Placement Officer Dr. B.V. Prashanth, TTL College of Business Management Principal Dr. M. Preethi, PG Centre Co-ordinator Dr. G.H. Eswarappa and TTL Independent PU College Principal Prof. B. Basavegowda, Alumni Association Members, Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff, M.Com, B.Com and BBA students were also present.

Kundeling Rinpoche Sumati Samudra, President, The Atisha Charitable Trust and Kundeling Monastery and Anitha Suresh, President, Inner Wheel Club of Mysore Central, were the chief guests at the valedictory.

St. Joseph’s College won the Overall Trophy of Samruddhi-2020. The winners carried home mementoes, cash prizes, gift vouchers and certificates. 

The following day, a State-level Mini Cricket was conducted at Maharaja’s Ground for both PG and UG students of Mysore University. MIT College emerged Winners as well as Runners.

The students were felicitated by Sridhar, Manager, Poorvika.

‘Sathgamaya 2020’ by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham

Over 800 students from different colleges of Karnataka participated in ‘Sathgamaya 2020,’ a State-level Multi-Fest, organised by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham recently at its premises in Bogadi II Stage.

Mysore Institute of Commerce and Arts (MICA) won the Overall Championship.

Renowned Actor and Founder of Natana School of Theatre Arts, Mandya Ramesh distributed the prizes for winners at Open Air Theatre, Manasagangothri.

Earlier, the event was inaugurated by Dr. Balakrishnan Shankar, Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. 

‘Voice to the Youth,’ a special lecture was arranged on the occasion on “Channelising Youth for Nation Building” which was delivered by Dr. M.R. Seetharam, President, Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (SVYM), Mysuru.

Workshops ranging from Robotics, Digital Marketing, Entrepreneurship, UI/ UX to Pottery, Makeup and Nail Art attracted over 350 participants from all over Karnataka.

Students won  attractive cash prizes in gaming and other competitions such as Hackathon, Roadeez, Web Development, Digital Treasure Hunt, Revengers (LAN gaming) Marvel Trivia Quiz, Best Entrepreneur, Business Quiz, Pinch of Punishment, Science Treasure Hunt, Science Model and Collage Making, Bollywood Quiz, TikTok, Photography, Theatre, Story Telling, Poetry, Literary quiz, Bhagavad Gita Recitation, Solo Singing, Solo Instrumental and Cricket competitions. 

The Science Park with several working models, quizzes, games and other experiments allowed the visitors to explore the wondrous world of Science.

Carnival with its food stalls, fun-filled games and Paint Ball were the major highlights of the Fest. Evenings were made colourful and joyful with fashion show, dance and mesmerising performance by the ‘Naik and the Jois Project’ music band.

“Lazer Maze, Astro-physics, Rubik’s cubes chromatic games, magic squares coupled with mouth-watering Faloodas, KulkiSharbath, Churmuri & Chats, South Indian special etc. was both food for thought and tummy,” expressed one of the participants. 

Br. Sunil Dharmapal, Director, Amrita Mysuru; Br. Venugopal, Correspondent, Amrita Mysuru; Dr. Rekha Bhat, Principal and others were present on the occasion.

De Paul College, Belagola, had organised ‘Deplomat 2020’ Management, IT and Cultural Fest recently.

The Fest was inaugurated by  Prashanth Narayan, Director of Excel  Par Electronics and Rev. Dr. Anil Thomas, The Provincial Superior of the Congregation of the Mission. 

Many competitions like Best Manager, Best Marketing, Best Finance, Human Resource, Pubg, Ramp Walk and Group Dance were conducted. Rev. Dr. Baiju Antony gave away the prizes to the winners.
