Mysuru: Rotary Midtown Academy (RMA), Mysuru, had organised its 4th annual ‘Vimarshe,’ an Inter-School Debate Competition (2019-20) at its campus recently.
The event was inaugurated by Indira Nair, Director, Zeus Biotech & senior theatre artiste, by lighting the lamp along with other guests Rtn. Ramakrishnan, Secretary, RMA and Ramya Urs, Head Mistress, RMA.
Around 170 enthusiastic debaters from 22 different schools across Mysuru participated in the event. Balasubramani, Venkatesh and Krishnamurthy were the judges of the event.
The students enthusiastically participated and put forth their views by speaking for and against their topics — Online Shopping Vs Traditional Shopping; Mobile Phones – Boon or Bane; Is Employment for Women Good or Bad?
Sanjana of St. Joseph’s School (CBSE), Jayalakshmipuram, Mysuru, bagged first place along with cash prize of Rs.5,000.
Vikas of Christ Public School, Mysuru, received second place along with cash prize of Rs.3,000.
Ananya of RMA, Mysuru, secured third place with a cash prize of Rs.2,000.
Rtn. Alagappan, Chairman, RMA, presented the prizes.
