Winners of State-level Technical fest “AVAGAMAH”

Mysore/Mysuru: The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, ATME College of Engineering (ATMECE), Mysuru, had organised an FDP on State-level Technical Fest “AVAGAMAH” in association with ‘Quantum’ at its campus on May 8.

It was a platform for students to exhibit their technical ability and create awareness about the latest research and inventions in the stream of Electrical & Electronics Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering.

Dr. N. Shamala, Professor and Head, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, VVIET, Mysuru, Dr. N. Lokesh, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, NIEIT, Mysuru and Dr. Prakash Kuravatti, Associate Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication, ATMECE, were the chief guests.

Technical Project Expo was held online and offline as part of the Fest. Capstone projects from various parts of the State were also exhibited.

Offline winners: The project titled Mitigation of Voltage Sag, Sell and Harmonics using UPQC presented by S. Chandra Mohan, Trupthi E. Gowda, Vaibhav Surendra, M. Yashas and D.R. Raghunandan, Department of EEE, JSS STU, Mysuru,  bagged 1st place.

EV Mithra presented by K. Kumar Gowda and Abdulla Danish, VVIET, Mysuru, bagged 2nd place while Portable Ventilator for Critical Health Care Application presented by M. Meghana, S. Jeevan, S. Shashank and Prasanna of ATMECE bagged 3rd place and Aqua Quality Surveillance Boat presented by M. Charan, S. Sharada, P. Suman and E.S. Yashas of VVIET bagged consolation prize.

Online winners

The project titled Low-cost E-Rickshaw for Rural Application presented by V. Rakesh, B. Sridhar, M. Kowhtubha and R. Rohan Gowda of DBIT, Bengaluru, bagged 1st place.

IoT-based System to Control Household Appliances and Monitor its Energy Consumption presented by Md. S. Mohseen, Mohammed Sohail, P. Rushmitha Sai and E. Peshumam of BITM, Ballari, bagged 2nd place.

A Multi-purpose Drone for Drugs Distribution, Sanitisation and to provide COVID-19 Awareness presented by M.S. Shivaraj,  B. Varshitha and N. Roja of GMIT, Mandya, bagged 3rd place while Real-Time Face Mask Detection and Monitoring system RFMDM, presented by K.B. Pavan, N. Aparna and K. Bhaumik of NMIT, Bengaluru bagged consolation prize.

Cash prizes and certificates were distributed to winners.
