Wins two gold medals in swimming

Mysuru: City’s Pratibha Goutham has won two gold medals in the State-level Non-Medallist Swimming Competition-2025 organised by Inner Wheel Club of Mysore Central at University of Mysore Swimming Pool in Saraswathipuram here yesterday.

Pratibha won gold medals in 50 Mtr Backstroke and 50 Mtr Breaststroke taking part in the Masters’ category. A home-maker and mother of two, Pratibha began her swimming journey only in 2024. Pratibha is aiming to take part in the 26th State Masters’ Swimming Championship which will be organised by Karnataka Swimming Association (KSA) during October this year at Bengaluru.

She currently trains at the Chamundi Vihar Swimming Pool (BSRC), Mysuru, under the guidance of senior coach Manoj Kumar and assistant coach Santosh.
