National Institute of Engineering (NIE), Mysuru, emerged winners in the VTU Inter-Collegiate Mysuru Zone Kho-Kho Men Championships-2018-19 by defeating BGSIT, Bellur Cross.

The Championship, organised by the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, NIE, Mysuru, on Apr.6 at NIE Golden Jubilee Sports Complex Sports Field, was inaugurated by Dr. K. Pushpalatha, former Kho-Kho player and Chairperson, NIE Sports Committee. P. Puttaswamy Gowda, Mysuru Zone Regional PE Director, VTU, presided. Dr. Gopalakrishne Urs, Principal, distributed the prizes.

Final Match: NIE, Mysuru beat BGSIT, Bellur Cross (11-10 and 1 turn).

Semi-Finals (Last 4 Stages): NIE beat PESCE, Mandya (12-11 and 4 min. 30 sec.); BGSIT, Bellur Cross beat NIE IT, Mysuru (11-8).

Quarter-Finals (Last 8 Stages): NIE, Mysuru beat ATME, Mysuru (12-07); PESCE, Mandya beat VTU PG Centre, Mysuru (12-02); NIE IT, Mysuru beat Govt. Engineering College, K.R. Pete (09-07).
