Woes of MCC Zone-2 e-Khata applicants

May 7, 2025

Sir,

The hardships faced by us, senior citizens as well as youngsters, both men and women, in obtaining e-Khata from Zone-2 of the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) are truly unbearable, despite submitting clear documents and accurate information.

Revenue Inspectors in this Zone harass applicants by deliberately citing baseless objections, often to extract money from poor and unsuspecting citizens.

This continues even after Chief Minister Siddaramaiah directing MCC officials to issue e-Khatas within 15 days of receiving an application. Shockingly, applications submitted as far back as January 2025 remain pending, despite all valid documents being submitted.

Through this column, we appeal to the authorities to ensure justice and help us receive our rightful e-Khatas without further delay or harassment.
