Woman cheated of Rs. 89,354 in the guise of providing insurance

Mysore/Mysuru:  A 24-year-old woman, has been cheated of Rs. 89,354 in the guise of providing her insurance.

The woman, who was cheated, is K. Sushmitha Joshi, a resident of Krishnamurthypuram.

Sushmitha, received a call from mobile phone number 95847-38481 and the caller told her that she has to deposit money for the insurance. The caller then collected Sushmitha’s credit card details and also the One Time Password (OTP) and illegally transferred  Rs. 89,354 from her credit card, thus cheating her.

A case has been registered at City’s CEN Police Station.
