Woman decapitated in gory car accident

Mysore/Mysuru: A woman’s head was severed from the body in an accident on the Mysuru-Bengaluru Highway yesterday near the Fire Service Station in Srirangapatna. 

The woman was walking by the side of the road when a speeding car hit her. The car, driven by a Mangaluru-based man, was negotiating a turn near the Fire Service Station and hit the woman. The speeding car came to a screeching halt after circumnavigating three times. Due to the impact, the woman who was caught under the wheels died on the spot and her head was decapitated. The identity of the woman is yet to be established and the body has been shifted to the Srirangapatna Taluk Hospital.

The public handed over the driver to the Police.
