Woman found murdered in Gayathripuram

Mysuru: A 25-year-old woman, was found murdered with her throat slit at her house in Gayathripuram here yesterday morning.

The victim is Reshma, wife of Nadeem, who were residing at rented house in Gayathripuram 2nd Stage, 2nd Cross. Neighbours and localites, suspecting that Reshma’s husband Nadeem may have committed the crime, have informed the matter to the Police.

The neighbours, who saw Reshma lying in a pool of blood informed Nazarbad Police and Nazarbad Inspector Mahadevaswamy and staff, who rushed to the spot conducted mahazar besides registering a case.

Nadeem and Reshma were married five years back and have two sons and a one-and-a-half month old daughter. Nadeem, who was a plumber,  was residing in a rented house at Kyathamaranahalli. As the couple used to quarrel everyday, the house owner had got them vacated from the house, it is learnt.

The couple, about three days ago had taken a house on rent at Gayathripuram and had shifted to the house there. Here too, the couple used to indulge in frequent quarrels and on Wednesday night, the fight escalated resulting in Reshma attempting to commit suicide but was stopped by the neighbours who told Reshma that her children would be orphaned if she ends her life.

Nadeem, fed up with the fight left the house and did not come in the night. But the next day morning, Reshma was found murdered and her children have been orphaned, the neighbours said.

Nazarbad Police, who registered a case, shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary where post-mortem was conducted and the body of Reshma was handed over to her family members.

The Police have launched a hunt to nab Nadeem, who is absconding.
