Woman thief caught on camera stealing purse of devotee

Mysuru: A woman thief, stealing a purse of a devotee, has been caught on the CCTV camera installed at Sri Chamundeshwari Temple atop Chamundi Hill here.

On Aug. 13, a woman devotee had come to the temple and was standing in the queue to have darshan of the Goddess inside the Temple. As there was heavy rush, people were moving slowly and the thief, who was standing behind the devotee, used the opportunity and lifted the purse of the devotee kept inside the vanity bag which was hanging from the shoulder of the devotee.

The whole incident has been captured on the CCTV camera installed inside the Temple.

K.R. Police, who have registered a case based on the CCTV footage, are investigating.
