Mysuru: Mysuru-Kodagu MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar laid the foundation stone for the new building dedicated for women advocates and notaries at Mysore Law Courts Complex on Krishnaraja Boulevard in city yesterday.
The new building will be constructed at a cost of Rs. 55 lakh next to the canteen. Speaking on the occasion, MP Yaduveer announced Rs. 10 lakh grant from MP fund for the building. The building will be constructed similar to heritage structure of the existing Court complex. Since, the existing building has been tagged as a heritage structure, the Bar Association had to take the consent of the High Court. Following the process, the foundation stone was laid and the works on construction of the building is expected to commence in a day or two. The ground floor of the new building will be allocated to women advocates and the first floor will be provided to women notaries.
Extending his support to the Bar Association, Yaduveer said that he would continue to support the programmes aimed at the welfare of the advocates.
