Women in the guise of customers steal gold from jewellery store

Mysore/Mysuru: Two women, who had come to a jewellery store on the pretext of purchasing gold jewellery, have stolen a pair of gold earrings, according to the complaint lodged at Devaraja Police Station.

The theft took place at Surana Jewellery store on Devaraj Urs Road in city. The women, who came to the store at about 6.30 pm, saw a few gold ornaments during which they stole a pair of gold earrings weighing 17 grams and worth Rs. 1.80 lakh, according to the complaint.

Devaraja Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
