Workshop on CBCS held

JSS College of Arts, Commerce and Science, B.N. Road, had organised UGC-sponsored one-day State-level workshop on Choice Based Credit System (CBCS).

Dr. P. Nagabhushan, Chief Nodal Officer for CBCS and Professor at DoS in Computer Science, University of Mysore was the chief guest. In his address, he stressed upon the need of transformation in higher education system and he opined that CBCS is one of the changes as it is student-centric.

Prof. T.D. Subbanna, Director of College Education Division, JSS Mahavidyapeetha, in his presidential address, said that implementing CBCS to UG programmes will be a benefit to the students as there is a choice of choosing courses.

Prof. B.V. Sambashivaiah, Chief Executive of the College campus, welcomed. Prof. M. Mahadevappa, Principal, proposed a vote of thanks. Dr. R. Suhas compered. This was followed by technical sessions by Prof. P. Nagabhushan and R.J. Anilkumar of Government College (Autonomous), Mandya.
