Mysore/Mysuru: Vivekananda Institute of Indian Studies, (VIIS), a unit of Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement, Mysuru (SVYM) and Swaralayam Arts Forum, Houston, USA, have organised a one day workshop on honing performing skills on the occasion of 12th Annual Sulochana Pattabhiram Utsavam.
The workshop, facilitated by renowned musicians Vidwan Manasa Nayana and Vidwan A. Radhesh, will be held on Feb. 6 (Saturday) at VIIS in Hebbal.
On the occasion, prizes will be distributed for students who have won in the classical music competition held as part of this Utsavam on Dec.22.
Classical music contest winners – Vocal: Prithvi Bhaskar (first prize), D. Poorvitha (second) and Medha Bhat (third). Wind instrument: K.P. Pranav (first), C.S. Manthan (second). Percussion: C. Chidatma (first), M.D. Parinith (second) and Sudarshan R. Srinivas (third). String instrument: P.S. Shrutha (first), Anwita Shree Kiran (second) and Skanda N. Shastry (third).
