World Book Day celebrations in city on Apr. 24

Mysore/Mysuru: Kannada Sahitya Kalakoota, Mysuru and Zilla Chutuku Sahitya Parishat have jointly organised distribution of books and felicitation programme on the occasion of ‘World Book Day’ celebrations at Pathrakarthara Bhavan tomorrow (Apr. 24) at 12 noon.

The event will be inaugurated by MLC Dr. D. Thimmaiah. Kannada Book Authority Chairman Manasa will be felicitated by President of Pramati Hillview Academy H.V. Rajeev.

Former Kuvempu Bhasha Bharathi Chairman Prof. Pradhan Gurudatta will deliver a talk on ‘World Book Day’.

Rajyotsava awardee Dr. M.G.R. Urs will distribute books to those present. Mysuru District Journalists Association Immediate Past President S.T. Ravikumar will preside. 

Kannada Sahitya Kalakoota President M. Chandrashekar will deliver introductory address.  Zilla Chutuku Sahitya Parishat President Dr. Rathna Halappagowda will be present on the occasion.
