Mysuru: As part of the World Breast-feeding Week-2017, a day-long health exhibition on breast-feeding practices and its advantages was organised by JSS College of Nursing at the Paediatrics Out-Patient Department at JSS Hospital here on Tuesday.

The expo featured information on nutritional benefits of breast milk for infants and advantages for mothers.

Inaugurating the expo, Dr. K. Jagadish Kumar, Head, Department of Paediatrics, JSS Hospital, said that breast milk was purest and natural with very high nutritional value for children.

However, he observed that a few women were reluctant to breast-feed their babies who should be made aware of benefits of breast milk. JSS Hospital Director Dr. Ravi, JSS Nursing College Associate Professor Dr. Ashwathi Devi and others were present.
