World Tiger Day at Zoo tomorrow

Mysuru:  Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens will be celebrating World Tiger Day tomorrow (July 29) to coincide with the inauguration of Youth Club-2018 at the Zoo Amphitheatre at 10 am.

Vijay Kumar Gogi, IFS, Principal Secretary, Forest Ecology and Environmental Department, will preside.  P.S. Somashekar IFS (retd.) and Rajendra Gharwad, IFS, Assistant Inspector General of Forests, NTCA, will share their experience about issues pertaining to tigers and their conservation.

B.P. Ravi, IFS, Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Member Secretary, Zoo Authority of Karnataka and Pradeep, Scientific Officer, Planet Aquarium, will be the chief guests. Wildlife enthusiasts and general public may attend the programme, according to a press release from Ajit Kulkarni, IFS, Executive Director, Mysuru Zoo.
