Yeddyurappa to visit city tomorrow

Mysuru:  State BJP Chief and former Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa (BSY) will visit the city tomorrow.

Announcing this at a press meet here yesterday, KR Block BJP President B.V. Manjunath said that Yeddyurappa will take part in a programme to be held at Rajendra Kalamandira at 11 am tomorrow, which features felicitation to newly-elected party Legislators, meeting with defeated candidates and an interaction with the teaching fraternity.

KR MLA S.A. Ramdas, Chamaraja MLA L. Nagendra, Nanjangud MLA B. Harshavardhana, Gundlupet MLA C.S. Niranjan Kumar and Hassan MLA Preetam Gowda will take part in the programme.

The office-bearers of top three booths which gave the maximum number of votes to the party will be rewarded with prizes, he said.

Continuing, Manjunath said that State BJP Chief Yeddyurappa, who was instrumental is the BJP emerging as the single largest party, will be felicitated  on the occasion.

During the Course of the programme, Yeddyurappa will inaugurate Saplings Planting Drive, marking the World Environment Day, following which he will hold meeting with newly-elected MLAs and defeated   candidates.

At 5 pm, Yeddyurappa will hold interaction with teachers from Mysuru, Mandya, Hassan and Chamarajanagar districts, he said and added that the party will thank the voters  for their support.

KR BJP office-bearers Balakrishna, V.N. Krishna, Vidya Urs and others were present during the press meet.
