Mysore/Mysuru: A youth, unable to bear the spinal cord pain, committed suicide by jumping into a Kalyani (pond) at Hinkal on Tuesday night. The deceased is Ranjan (22), a resident of Hinkal.

According to the Police, Ranjan was suffering from severe spinal cord pain since a year and the pain had not subsided even after treatment at many hospitals. Depressed over this, Ranjan committed suicide, the Police added.

Vijayanagar Police, who have registered a case, are investigating.
