Mysuru:  A 19-year-old youth died after he lost control of the bike he was riding and fell on the main road in Nehru Nagar here on Tuesday. The impact of the accident was such that the victim was flung far away from the bike.

The deceased youth is Syed Salman, a resident of Udayagiri in city.

On Tuesday afternoon, Syed was proceeding on his bike (KA-09 HT-4651) on Nehru Nagar main road towards Sathagalli KSRTC Bus Depot, when he lost control of the bike and fell down resulting in Syed sustaining serious injuries.

Though he was being rushed to a hospital by the public, Syed is said to have breathed his last midway.

Siddarthanagar Traffic Police have registered a case in this regard.
