Youth found dead under mysterious circumstances near KRS

Srirangapatna: A youth has been found dead by drowning under mysterious circumstances in River Cauvery near Chikkayarahalli village in the taluk and the deceased youth’s father Subbegowda, alleging that his son has been murdered, has lodged a complaint with KRS Police.

The deceased youth has been identified as Nagendra (26) of Seethapura village in Pandavapura taluk.

KRS Circle Inspector Yogesh, Sub-Inspector Lingaraju and staff visited the spot and conducted an inspection besides conducting preliminary investigation.

The body was fished out from the river and was shifted to MMC&RI mortuary in Mysuru, where post-mortem was conducted and the body was handed over to the family members.

KRS Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
