Youth killed as bikes collide

Mysuru: A youth was killed on the spot when two bikes collided head-on between 10.30 pm and 11 pm on the road behind JSS Dental College and Hospital at Shivarathreeshwaranagar in city on Tuesday night.  

According to the Police, the deceased has been identified as Umraz (18), a native of Chamarajanagar and resident of Bannimantap. Those injured are Usman of Srirangapatna and Stephen of Bannimantap, who are undergoing treatment at a private hospital.  

Police said that Umraz and his friend Usman were riding on the bike at Shivaratreeshwaranagar, when another bike with Stephen as rider, which came from the opposite direction collided head-on killing Umraz on the spot.   

NR Traffic Police have registered a case in this regard.
