Youth killed in self-accident

Mysore/Mysuru: In a late last night incident, a 25-year old youth died of serious injuries when the motorcycle he was riding rammed into an electric pole on the Ring Road.

A.N. Ullas, son of G. Narayanaswamy of Ankanahalli village in K.R. Nagar taluk, is the deceased.

Ullas, who was a worker at RMP near Yelwal on Hunusr Road, was returning to his village after having dinner at a city hotel at about 12 midnight, when he lost control of his Hero Karizma Motorcycle (KA-09 EP-149) and crashed into a roadside electric pole on the stretch between Sheshadripuram College and Bharat Cancer Hospital on the Ring Road. Ullas, who suffered serious head and body injuries, died on the spot,  it is learnt.

The jurisdictional V.V. Puram Traffic Police, led by Inspector Prasanna Kumar, visited the spot, conducted Mahazar and shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary for post-mortem.

A case has been registered in this regard.
