Zebra Crossing not marked near traffic signal

July 21, 2019

Sir,

There will always be heavy traffic near the junction connecting peripheral Outer Ring Road and Infosys Road near Bharath Cancer Hospital in the outskirts of Mysuru. Recently, the Traffic Police concerned have introduced traffic signal lights in all the three directions at this junction, just to help the public.

Though this is an improvement over the earlier situation, unfortunately there are no Zebra Crossings marked in all these above three directions. This is causing a lot of confusion among vehicle riders as to ‘where to stop the vehicle? whenever they see a stop signal (Red Light).’

Hope, the traffic authorities would make a note of the same and arrange for immediate marking of Zebra Crossings, in all the directions at this junction.
