Mysuru:  The Udayagiri Police have arrested a 35-year-old Ayurvedic Physiotherapist for alleged rape of a beautician.

Harish, 35, a resident of Rajivnagar in the city is the one who has been arrested. Harish, who was working as a physiotherapist at a resort on H.D. Kote Road, had allegedly developed a physical relationship with a 25-year-old beautician who worked at a spa attached to a star hotel in the city, on the promise of marrying her.

But Harish, who was already married, failed to keep his promise, following which the beautician, lodged a complaint with the jurisdictional Udayagiri Police.

Based on the complaint, the Udayagiri Police arrested Harish yesterday. 

He was produced before the Court which remanded him to judicial custody.
