Mysore/Mysuru: A. Shankara Chetty & Sons, K.R. Circle, Mysuru — one of the city’s most reputed jewellery houses — is celebrating its centenary year, marking 100 years of excellence, tradition and integrity.
Founded in 1925 by A. Gopala Chetty in memory of his father, Sri A. Shankara Chetty, the brand has grown from humble beginnings into a name synonymous with timeless royal elegance and artisanal mastery.
Addressing a press conference at the jewellery store on Thursday, Partner Adarsh K. Murthy announced that as part of the centenary celebrations — ‘Shatamanotsav’ — a 100-day festivity will be held from Aug. 2 to Nov. 9.
On Aug. 3, at 1.30 pm, Member of Parliament and titular head of the erstwhile Mysore Royal Family, Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar, will unveil the 100 Years Commemorative Logo, marking the official launch of the celebrations.
The ‘Shatamanotsav’ will feature 100 days of grand festivities and special offers, including Rs. 600 off per gram on gold jewellery, Rs. 1,000 off per carat on diamond jewellery and Rs. 1,000 off per kilogram on silver articles.
Adding to the excitement, every purchase during the 100-day celebration will entitle customers to lucky coupons, offering a chance to win fabulous prizes — 100 diamond rings, one diamond necklace, a bumper gold prize, 5 kg silver prizes, daily gold and silver coin giveaways, and more, Adarsh said.
Gandaberunda exhibit
As a tribute to Mysuru’s cultural heritage, the celebrations will feature a Gandaberunda Exhibit — a magnificent collection inspired by the legendary royal emblem of Karnataka. Symbolising strength, protection and regal heritage, the two-headed mythical bird will be brought to life through exquisitely crafted jewels in pure gold and silver.
Launch of digital app
In a move that blends legacy with innovation, the brand will go fully digital. The launch of its official mobile app will allow customers to begin their gold journey from as little as Rs. 10, and shop anytime, anywhere — 24/7.
The brand will also unveil Mysore Medallions — finely minted pure silver medallions created as a rare tribute to the Royal Heritage City.
