2015 Tipu Jayanti Clash: Former Kodagu SP gets clean chit

May 27, 2018

Madikeri: The Home Department is learnt to have acquitted IPS officer Vartika Katiyar of the charge of failure to control communal violence that erupted during Tipu Jayanti on Nov. 10, 2015 in Madikeri.

Following the clash, the then Congress Government had ordered a Magisterial probe into the violent incident. Consequently, the then SP Vartika Katiyar was transferred to a non-executive post in the Department.

The then Mysuru DC C. Shikha in her Magisterial probe had pointed out that the absence of SP from the District Headquarters due to leave and the SP’s failure to conduct peace meetings had triggered the clash.

However, the then IGP (Southern Range) B.K. Singh had also submitted a separate report on the incident to the then DGP Om Prakash.

According to sources, the Home Department is said to have issued an order on Apr.26 acquitting Vartika of all charges and announcing a decision to drop the report.

Congrats for Modijis wonderful acievement, all yojanaas very benefecial to poor n middle class. All these years of independence our great congress govt could not or did not achieve. I wish let many many Modis be born to cleanse our sacred India polluted by fireign leaders now Italian and then it was British. Modiji ki jai, Bharath Maathaa ki jai, let me pray for his win in da next 2019 election and for long healthy and strong health to serve India and Indians. Bheema yojana, suraksha yojna, ujwal yojna, swach bharath, beti padaav – beti bachav. Hungry person will know the problem of hunger like wise he hails from a economically poor background so he only knows the problem of da poor. Congress looters will not care for people because they do not know whats poverty. Hope congress will vanish from India for ever.Thank you.swarnalatha-mob: 8971691998,mysore
