Jayamma (80), wife of late Narasimhaiah (owner of Kannikamba Weighing Bridge) and a resident of Gokulam, passed away in the wee hours of today. She leaves behind two sons, a daughter and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites will be performed at the foot of Chamundi Hill today at 4 pm.

Mukkatira B. Ponnappa (Doremani) passed away at his son’s residence in SBM Layout, Bogadi, yesterday. He was 87. A native of Kunjilageri in Parane, Kodagu, he leaves behind his son M.P. Miron Belliappa (advocate), daughter Palandira Mithuna Muthanna and a host of relatives and friends. Cremation took place at Chirashantidhama in Gokulam this afternoon.
