H. Basappa (87), retired Assistant Director, Department of Industries and Commerce and a resident of K.R. Mohalla, passed away yesterday in city. He leaves behind his wife, one son, four daughters and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were held at K.G. Koppal Burial Grounds, according to family sources.

Alhaj Mohammed Ilyaz (70), Secretary of Masjid-e-Siddiq and Masjid-e-Yaseen and a resident of Siddique Nagar, passed away yesterday at a private hospital in city following brief illness. He leaves behind his wife, three sons, one daughter and a host of relatives and friends. Namaz-e-Janaza and burial took place in city, according to family sources.

Vidwan K.S. Venkatachari, retired Principal and Professor at Grammar Department of Sanskrit Pathshala, passed away in city following brief illness. He was also the Priest at Parakala Mutt. He leaves behind his wife, two sons, one daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. Last rites were performed at Jayanagar Burial Grounds in city.

Kariappa (KP), proprietor of Sri Ganesh Transport and a resident of Vidyaranyapuram, passed away this morning at a private hospital in city following brief illness. He was 66. He leaves behind his wife, two sons, one daughter, daughters-in-law, son-in-law and grandchildren. Last rites were held at Jayanagar Burial Grounds here this afternoon.
