Basava Nayaka (80), Yajaman of Hedathale village in the taluk, passed away yesterday in the town. He leaves behind three daughters, one son and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were held at the village this afternoon, according to family sources.

Jayamma (84), wife of late Siddegowda of Ganesh Rice Mill, passed away on Friday in Nanjangud town. She leaves behind seven daughters, two sons and a host of relatives and friends. Last rites were held at the burial grounds near Lingapattana Gudi in the town, according to family sources.
