38 complaints registered in cVigil App

Mysuru: The cVigil App launched by the Election Commission of India to prevent irregularities during LS elections and curb violation of Poll Code, has registered 38 complaints in Mysuru District.

The public had been informed to report any irregularities like distribution of money, sarees, cooker and other materials and also using flex, banners illegally, by taking photographs and sending it through cVigil.

As a result 38 complaints have been registered in Mysuru out of which most are related to flex and banners. The highest number of complaints registered are: 11 in KR Constituency, 5 in Chamaraja, 3 each in Narasimharaja and Varuna, 2 each in Chamundeshwari, Hunsur and Periyapatna and one each in K.R. Nagar and T. Narasipura.

In all 30 complaints have been registered, out of which 19 have been resolved. Two are under investigation and nine complaints have been dropped. In the district-wise incidents eight complaints have been dropped.
