3rd BRDCA All India Open FIDE Rated Chess: Ritviz Parab shocks GM Thejkumar

Playing with black pieces on the top board, Ritviz Parab (Rating 2252) shocked GM M.S. Thejkumar (Rating 2471) in the sixth round of the BRDCA All India Open FIDE Rated Chess Tournament-2018 being held at Huballi yesterday.

Two players — Ritviz Parab and Sameed Jaykumar Shete — share the lead with six points from six rounds and are followed by D. Yashas with 5.5 points. GM M.S. Thejkumar is in the fourth position with five points from six rounds.

Yashas (5.5) bt Navalgund Niranjan (5), Nitish Bhat (5) drew with Sudharshan Bhat (5), S. Niraj (5) bt Prajwal M. Joshi (4.5), Abhinav Bhat (4) lost to Vinayak Kulkarni (5), IM Ravi Hegde (4.5) drew with Tejas Suresh Kumar (4.5).
