3rd Rail Wheel Factory International Chess Tournament: Girish Koushik scores over Sudharshan Bhat

Girish A. Koushik (Rating 2401), of Mysuru, taking part in the 3rd Rail Wheel Factory International Open FIDE Rating Chess Tournament 2017 being held at Bengaluru, won his fourth round game against Sudharshan Bhat of Karnataka and after four rounds is placed 20th in the rankings.

26 players are tied with 4 points from four rounds. Viani Antoni Dcunha is in the lead followed by GM R.R. Laxman (ICF), M. Kunal (TN), N. Lokesh (TN) and Manu David Suthandiram (TN).

Girish had wins over Haldankar Dhurv (MAH), Vishnu Sridhar and Ajit Chandrashekar in the first three rounds. Another player from Mysuru, V.P.S. Darshan has secured three points from four rounds and is placed 62nd in the ranking.
